Battle of the (arch)Bishops: Reader Poll
This week's American Papist Reader Poll surveys a very interesting topic:"Which U.S. archbishop would most deserve to be made a cardinal?"
The Context:
Recently Pope Benedict announced the creation of 15 new cardinals (12 of voting age). Included in this list are two Americans: William Levada, Prefect of CDF and Sean Patrick O'Malley, archbishop of Boston.
Now the question: what other American archbishops do you think deserve the red hat, either right now or eventually in the course of their service?
I'd be very interested to see what the readers of St. Blogs think about this. So, I encourage you to vote and then post the reasons for your vote in the combox below.
For you who run your own blogs - feel free to point your readers over to the poll (or this post) so we can get a good cross-section of the Catholic blogosphere represented.
I'm going to let this poll run until this Friday midnight.
May the most worthy prelate win!
