Benedict on the role of women in the Church
An interesting story is being reported after Pope Benedict's traditional address and question session with the Italian clergy today:"During a 2-hour session the Pontiff responded to questions from 15 priests, covering subjects such as family life, pastoral care for young people, and priestly formation."
Then one priest "suggested women's 'talents' should be recognized by giving them an "institutional role" in the Church."
Ansa.it has an article on the Pope's response:
"Pope open to greater role for women"
