Catholic Democrats get their knuckles rapped (finally)

As I earlier surmised, the recent statement issued on behalf of 55 pro-choice Catholic democrats (asking for "room to disagree" with Church teaching on abortion) has prompted a counter-statement from Bishop DiMarzio as well as the Cardinals Keeler and McCarrick:

"While it is always necessary to work to reduce the number of abortions . . . Catholic teaching calls all Catholics to work actively to restrain, restrict and bring an end to the destruction of unborn human life."
