Vatican curia heads to meet for second time tomorrow
From CWNews:
Rocco adds:Vatican, Apr. 06 (CWNews.com) - Pope Benedict XVI will hold a second meeting with leaders of the Roman Curia on April 7, amid rumors that major changes may be pending at the Vatican.
The Friday-morning meeting, which will be held in the Bologna room, is the second such meeting of the Pope with his key aides. At the first meeting, on February 13, the topics reportedly included a plan to allow broader use of the Latin Mass. Those closed-door discussions were to be continued at the April 7 meeting.
This and the Dan Brown verdict on the same day? Should be exciting. :)Seemingly as a run-up to tomorrow's session, Benedict received four of his curial heads in audience today:
- Cardinal Ignace Moussa I Daoud, prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches
- Cardinal Renato Martino, president of the Pontifical Councils for Justice and Peace and Migrants and Refugees
- Archbishop Nikola Eterovic, secretary-general of the Synod of Bishops
- Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, the head of the Vatican library, who was received with an entourage
After he listened intently at his last sit-down with the superiors, held on 13 February, it's expected that this one will involve more words from the Pope.
