Explanation: I'm in the running to win a $10K blogging scholarship. And even if I don't win, as the only Catholic blog (or religion blog, for that matter) nominated this year I'd like to put in a good showing. After all, hundreds of people are discovering this blog and the Catholic blogosphere for the first time because of this contest. Other blogs may have more readers, but this blog is part of a wide and vibrant community, and I think that will tell in the long run.
