    Sad Day

After traveling in the past couple weeks to Florida, Philadelphia and New York, I finally had my phone stolen ... about five miles from home, when I stepped away for a couple minutes from the table where I was having dinner.

While I did quickly use a friend's phone to call my carrier and deactivate the phone, I am still left in a spot trying to purchase a new phone/plan simultaneously with paying for new school books, rent, tuition, etc.

Fortuitously, I had been planning on getting a new phone soon, as I mentioned recently, and hopefully I'll be able to use this smart phone to blog when I'm on the road (no more stints of inactivity due to lack of Internet access, which is welcome because I will probably be on the road a fair amount in the coming months).

That said, if anyone wants to contribute a mite to my paypal donation button (over on the sidebar), I'd be very appreciative. I'm quickly coming to realize that life is expensive, and I'd hate to be forced to take away time from the blog to do such trivial things as earn an income.

After all, where's the challenge in that?
post script: I'm praying right now that the thief experienced a moment of conversion when he flipped open my phone and saw my wallpaper. I mean, an image of Christ the Judge should cause you to do a double-take ...
