Hear me on Kresta in the Afternoon today!

I'll be in studio with Al Kresta this afternoon around 5:40PM EDT, discussing - well, whatever he feels like. Kresta in the Afternoon is a production of Ave Maria Radio.

Al has been recently building a significant blog and online streaming TV presence. I'm very happy to see him active in new media.

Afterward the interview, I'll be having fish for dinner. *hint, hint.*

    update: watch live!

Video: My appearance at "Word to Life" on The Catholic Channel

Last Friday I did a segment on "Faith and New Media" for Fr. Aquinas Guilbeau OP's "Word to Life" program on Sirius XM Radio's The Catholic Channel (Sirius 159 and XM 117), live from the Sirius' studios in New York City.

Later, I found out that Sirius has a camera in their studio, which is cool because that means you can listen to the audio and see me "in action" (relatively speaking, of course - radio isn't exactly a full-contact sport!).

This from the St. Vincent Ferrer parish blog (Fr. Aquinas is one connected friar):

My appearance begins around the 25:00 minute mark.

While I was in New York City, Fr. Aquinas gave me a tour of Saint Vincent Church on the upper east side. I'll be writing about my impressions of this beautiful, vibrant parish later in the week - so stay tuned!

AmP to appear on "Rise & Walk, San Antonio" on Monday 4/27

I'm usually pretty bad about telling readers when I'll be making a radio appearance, often because I have to fit them in last minute or on-the-fly.

Well, this time you'll get plenty of warning. I'll be on the Guadalupe Radio Network in San Antonio, Texas at about 9:20AM EST on Monday. Local listeners can tune in to KJMA 89.7 FM and online listeners at this direct link.

I think it will be a fun interview!

Audio: My interview on Kresta in the Afternoon

Yesterday I was interviewed by Al Kresta on Ave Maria Radio on the topic of the Maciel Scandal.

You can listen to the MP3 here (jump to the middle of the show) and subscribe to Kresta's podcast here.

Thanks to producer Nick Thomm for setting up the interview. Do stop by his blog for a needful reason.

Of Al Kresta's many books, Why Do Catholics Genuflect? is my favorite, though I've also been meaning to read Moments of Grace: Inspiring Stories from Well-Known Catholics when I get a chance.

Syndication has been obtained by a deserving program:
As some of you know, the Son Rise Morning Show with Brian Patrick launched onMonday, January 5, on the EWTN Global Catholic radio network! This is an exciting time for all of us here at the show, as our 7:00 hour will be broadcast on over 100 stations and satellite radio. We’re hoping to bring a new and vibrant way of doing Catholic morning radio to the network.
Congrats! Please consider giving them a listen sometime.

A very special radio appearance today

This afternoon from 4-6pm my father Canon Lawyer Ed Peters will be guest hosting Al Kresta's radio show on Ave Maria Radio (you can listen to it live right here).

I will be in-studio with him from either 5:20 or 5:40 until 6:00 EST, speaking about Catholic blogging and (I believe) taking calls. Feel gree to give us a ring!

[update: you can call us live, toll-free at 877-573-7825]

Today is also my birthday, and for me it is a great source of joy to be able to spend it with my whole family.

With God's grace, I trust this will be a year well spent. Thank you, my readers, for the grace you have been, and continue to be, in my life. May we all strive to do the will of Our Lord each and every day.

update 2: The show has been archived here. Thanks for all the well wishing!

    AmP Shout-out: Sacred Heart Radio

Welcome listeners of Sacred Heart Radio. As I mentioned in my short interview this morning, here is my coverage of the 2008 March for Life and here are some humorous Papist-Pictures-of-the-Day.

Hopefully next time I'm scheduled to appear I'll remember to announce it!
